I do hope her majesty will forgive me for finishing this two days after her actual anniversary, but the WHOLE of this weekend has been put aside to celebrate and I've admittedly been making the most of it. Tea, cake, fireworks, live jazz, and a very unusual (and typically country) parade around our village, to name but a little of what I've been up to.

These guys have been living it up in celebration too by the looks of things! I like to think that the FM gang, like me, are very proud to have such an excellent and inspiring lady as their monarch. If you haven't already noticed, I love these sorts of celebrations and traditions because, ultimately, its a celebration of love. A love of heritage, identity, community and devotion. Its these sorts of things that really make me proud of my Britishness. And this weekend is a way of saying thank you to someone who's devoted her life to those things. And of course they're an excuse to celebrate! What's not to love!?

SO: Thank you and Congratulations to Queen Liz for a majestic 60 years on the throne. God save the queen! Have a great Jubilee weekend everyone!

UPDATES should HOPEFULLY resume on friday :)
